some recent photos of the boys hanging out in the play donut. for the most part they get along pretty well, though elijah's imminent crawling might scupper any plans otis had to keep the toys to himself.

Otis was very excited to go to the Yo Gabba Gabba concert. Our friend Toby very kindly took him along with Asha, and Justin and I were more than a little disappointed to miss out. Oti's highlights included learning the Kangaroo Jump at dancey dance time, and the song 'Don't Bite Your Friends' (!). Yo Gabba Gabba has been on high rotation since the show, with much breakdancing and funny moves being cut on our rug - fun times!

Otis has been spending more of his time behind the camera, taking beautiful pictures of the floor, the dogs bum, our feet and the deck, will post some of his work soon. xox

some months ago otis made a friend, milla, at a playground. milla told us all about her circus classes and otis decided that he wanted to go too. we put his name down on the waiting list for westside circus and, after several months, otis had his first class on friday.

the class was great with about 12 kids and their parents doing all kinds of activities and games. a great time was had by all. otis particularly enjoyed his first swing on the trapeze and being introduced to the forward roll. there has been daily forward roll practice sessions and no one can visit the house without being shown otis' new skill. unfortunately, this also involves regular disassembling and reassembling of the couch.

the term lasts for seven weeks so we look forward to sharing more of otis' circus adventures.

It's hard to believe but Elijah is almost 8 weeks old. Every day he is a little more alert. He gives us all beaming smiles, but saves his best for Otis, following his every movement. Oti responds in kind with tickles, songs and tidbits of information about trains. Otis is a wonderful big brother and we are so proud of how he has welcomed Elijah into the family.

with the arrival of elijah otis' world was bound to change. although life remains much the same for otis, and it is too soon for all the ramifications of having a brother to be realised, elijah has been extended a brotherly welcome.

otis seems particularly fond of tickling elijah's head, and on the occasion of having his cheek sucked by elijah otis will squeal with laughter.

otis and elijah recently shared a bath.

otis asked if he could hold elijah which lead to a little spot of cheek sucking and giggling.

eventually even cheek sucking must end and the brothers settled for a brief cuddle which they seemed to enjoy.

After much waiting our beautiful baby boy Elijah Macmahon was born on Christmas Eve.

Otis was determined to have a baby sister called Katie and so was sceptical when first told the news, but he is slowly adjusting and is generally happy in his new role as a big brother.

We are all well and are looking forward to the joy (and chaos) ahead. Love to you all, xox

Yesterday Otis turned three, a much anticipated event. All of his friends have recently had birthdays, and for weeks he has been waking up and asking "is it my birthday today?". So yesterday we finally said "yes!" and spent the day having treats and playing with the many wonderful gifts that Otis received.

The birthday boy baked his own cake.

We are busily preparing for Oti's party on Sunday. It promises to be a whirlwind of sugar and we are anxiously looking to the skies hoping that the weather holds out so we can make it an outdoor event.

In other news we are expecting another birth day some time in December! No photos to show yet but be sure that the minute he/she is born the newest baby Wayne will be making their debut on this blog. So many of our friends are also expecting new babies, and its exciting to think there will be all these new people in our lives in not much time. Watch this space....

We recently travelled to Coffs Harbour for the wedding of my cousin Tanya.

The wedding party

Otis is a very sociable boy, liking nothing better than being surrounded by adoring family and friends. This he found at Tai Tai's house, with many aunties and visitors in attendance to spoil him rotten.

After eating a number of the heart lollypops decorating the tables, Otis set off to make new friends and charm young women into dancing with him.
